Few experiences capture the spirit of Lapland like a husky safari — the thrill of gliding through silent, snow-laden forest behind an eager team of sled dogs. On our winter packages you get a genuine 5 km husky safari (not a token loop), with time at the husky farm afterwards for warm drinks and to meet the dogs and puppies.
We combine the husky safari with reindeer safaris, snowmobile rides and guided Northern Lights hunts, so your days in the Arctic are packed with the experiences that make Lapland legendary. Everything is guided, with full safety briefings and Arctic clothing available to rent.
What is a husky safari like?
After a safety briefing you ride a sled pulled by a team of huskies through Arctic forest trails. You can take turns driving (mushing) the sled or simply sit and enjoy the ride. Afterwards you warm up at the husky farm and meet the dogs — a favourite moment for children and adults alike.
Is a husky safari suitable for families and beginners?
Yes. No experience is needed — our guides handle everything and you can choose to drive or be a passenger. Children ride safely with an adult. It is one of the most family-friendly Arctic activities in Lapland.
When can you do a husky safari in Finland?
Husky safaris run through the winter snow season, roughly December to March, which is also peak Northern Lights season — so a single trip combines sled dogs, reindeer, snowmobiles and the aurora.
