Visit Lapland Finland Travels C Oy was founded in the village of Ruka-Kuusamo — one of Finland's premier Arctic destinations, sitting directly beneath the auroral oval at 66°N. We started with a single mission: to give international travellers a genuinely authentic Lapland experience, guided by people who have spent their lives in this wilderness rather than parachuted in for a season.

What began as small-group Northern Lights expeditions has grown into a full-service Destination Management Company offering everything from reindeer and husky safaris to glass igloo stays, snowmobile adventures, national park hikes, and multi-day fixed-departure packages across Finnish Lapland and Scandinavia. We handle the full journey — from visa invitation letters and airport transfers to daily activities and professional photo documentation.

Our base is Ruka-Kuusamo, and we believe it is the finest aurora destination in Europe. Unlike Rovaniemi — which draws enormous tourist volumes — Ruka combines excellent infrastructure with immediate access to Oulanka National Park and genuinely dark skies. When you book with us, you are in the right place at the right latitude, guided by people who track aurora forecasts the way others check the football scores.

Since 2019 we have hosted travellers from India, Malaysia, Singapore, UAE, the UK, Australia and over 35 other countries. Many return year after year. Several have come three or four times. That, more than any certificate or award, is the measure we care about most.

We operate as a licensed Finnish business and issue official company documentation to support guest visa applications. We work directly with Holiday Club Kuusamo, Scandic Hotels, VR Finland, and a network of local activity partners — giving us the flexibility to build itineraries that work for solo travellers, couples, families with young children, and large groups alike.
